OUR VISION:

Reformed teachers are equipped to faithfully and professionally equip students for their service to God and His Kingdom

OUR MISSION:

To promote teaching and learning in God's Word and Work, in obedience to the Bible and bound to the Reformed Confessions, by means of:

· pre-service training,

· new teacher induction

· ongoing professional development of teaching staff

· development of Reformed curriculum

· supporting curriculum implementation

for and within the John Calvin Schools.

JOHN CALVIN SCHOOLS' SUPPORT OFFICE

The John Calvin Schools' Support Office is a joint venture of the Albany Free Reformed Church Education Association, and the Free Reformed School Association. It was set up to serve the John Calvin Schools of Western Australia. It has been in operation since July 2000.

Its goal is to equip Reformed teachers to faithfully and professionally equip students for service in God's Kingdom. This is to be done through developmental teaching and learning in God's Word and Work in obedience to the Bible and bound to the Reformed Confessions.

ROLE:

The JCSSO serves the schools in two ways:

By providing pre-service and in-service training and professional development of teachers
By producing and supporting the implementation of a distinctively Refomed curriculum for the John Calvin Schools

STAFF:

Since 2005, the JCSSO has had two full-time staff members:

Mr Antoon Breen, Support Officer. He is responsible for the delivery of the Reformed Education Diploma Course for student teachers and currently-employed teaching staff. He also supervises the Professional Practice Programmes of student teachers who have placements at the John Calvin Schools. Email contact: breena@frsa.asn.au
